After regular UPDATE (not upgrade) Windows 10 (October 2016) - ntb asking product key

Hello, I would like to know if anyone came across this problem. After regular update Windows 10 (not upgrade from another Win 7 or ect.), Windows is asking me for product key? Windows 10 was installed there before this update? Thank you Judy

Do you have your win 7 or 8 licence key? I don't know if you will need it but they might ask for it. You will need to contact Microsoft and explain it to them as they only ones who can fix it,

I believe there should be a number you can contact them on, on this page:
right click "This PC" on desktop
choose properties
on next screen, at bottom should be activation and options here to contact Microsoft

We got this PC (laptop) with Windows 10 already instaled. Wind. 10 got thru other updates without problems and now this...

Who made laptop, you may need to contact them.

The sticker should be on the case or with the paper work that came with PC. You may not need it, I haven't had to do it. I figured they would want some proof.
