Hello,
I have a really old computer but I still need it working because my mother uses it (I have a gaming system) for her work. She works with docs and she will use Win7.

Current hdd is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148288
I plan to buy her http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147372&cm_re=850_evo-_-20-147-372-_-Product

Here's some info from everest:

Thank you in advance and awaiting you replies.

Research to see if your computer is SATA 2 (3 gbps) or SATA 1 (1.5 gbps).
You will also need to make sure that your board bios allows you to switch to AHCI.
If SATA 2 then the instant seek time of SSD will still be a big step up.

You will likely need to load the AHCI driver with windows 7 when you initially install but outside of that it should install just fine. Naturally you will also need to download drivers to a flash drive before you wipe it.
