Just trying to get an understanding of why people are selling Used GTX 980Ti's on Ebay for the same price as new GTX 1070, and even the 980 for only £50 less than the 1070, am I wrong in thinking that they're not worth that? I would have thought the price of the 900 series would decrease with the new cards

Edit: Best it to look at the cheapest GTX 980 Ti OR GTX 1070 sold new, which is the Palit GTX 1070 for 373 quid.

Video Card: Palit GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Dual Video Card (£373.30 @ Aria PC)
Total: £373.30
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

320 quid seems pretty reasonable for a used GTX 980 Ti. Wouldn't expect them to sell for much lower.

To get accurate prices, look for the card in used condition on ebay.
Then, filter on completed auctions.
Only in green will you see what the card actually sold for.

The offering prices are sometimes overly optimistic.

Then, the difference in performance between the GTX980ti and GTX1070 is not great, only one tier apart on tom's hierarchy list.
