Windows 10 update, computer won't get past ASUS boot screen

I was updating my computer to Windows 10 and while in the processes it shut off and resumed multiple times. However, one of the times it shut off and when it went to start back up it wouldn't get past the ASUS boot screen. I have turned it off and on, gave it time, and nothing seems to help. I have a lot of important files on there for work and school, any advice would help! Thanks

I am assuming it's a laptop.

Can you please try hard resetting it? To do so:

> Turn off the laptop.

> Unplug its adapter.

> Pull out its battery.

> Press and hold down the Power button for 45-60 seconds.

> Release the Power button.

> Put the battery back in and try booting it.
