Thinking of upgrading...

So my current PC setup is:

GTX 960 2Gb
i3 4150 3.5GHz
16Gb DDR3 RAM

and I would like to upgrade to a system like this:

EVGA GTX 1060 SC 6Gb
i5 4690
16Gb DDR3

I bought the 960 last year in march, but I want to game in 1080p60fps with MAX settings and very little frame drops. I play mostly Triple A games like BF1, BO3, etc and both run fine on med/high settings but frame drops are often and I am tired of doing workarounds to boost performance. Is it worth it?

Yes that would be worth it, much better framerate, honestly the cpu alone would be worth it
That i3 is a dual core, really bottle necking the 960, probably the cause of your issues

Should just get the cpu for now, see how it feels, and if its still not up to what you want get the 1060 afer

Yeah thats what I planned on doing first as a christmas gift to myself soon. The i3 is obviously not the best in the world and I was told it would have a minor bottleneck, but I guess with newer games, the bottleneck is more prominent. But, it does get the job done for lighter games i.e Rocket League, Overwatch, etc. Eventually, a gpu upgrade will be needed lol.

Thanks for your input, and many more replies would be nice!
