cant change my monitor resolution

i recently bought a 3840x2160 monitor but the maximum resolution I can choose is just 1080p. I tried to install the monitor driver that comes on the cd but it just tells me no inf file can be found. I went to the website and downloaded one there and it says driver installed successfully but i still cant change resolution. The monitor is an lg 4k monitor the model number is 27ud68.

I have a titan x and i am using hdmi 2.0, i had a 4k monitor before but i just wanted a newer bigger one but it wont work

update: i think the problem is the edid because the monitor is telling my computer that its maximum resolution is only 1080p which is incorrect, but there is no inf file in the monitor driver to actually update that.
