Is a HDMI to DVI Adapter Cable ok for Gaming?

I plan to use my ASUS PB238TR monitor for gaming, but it doesn't have an HDMI port, just DVI. Will I notice a visually significant difference when gaming while using a HDMI to DVI adapter cable compared to a regular HDMI connection?

You shouldn't notice any difference at all, but you should get a Dual-Link HDMI to DVI Dual-Link cable instead of the one you have pictured.

Will a DisplayPort to DVI cable have as much bandwidth as a regular DisplayPort or a DVI connection?
