My monitor keeps turning itself off!

My monitor keeps turning on and off (with the power button still lit) whenever it feels like it. My display drivers are all updated and I have change the VGA cable once, thinking it was that problem with the cable, but the problem still persists after the change. Please help !

I had that problem with my Viewsonic VX922 a while a go (twice actually). I had to have it repaired at a licenced repair shop. It cost me $50 and took 2 days.
