Asus PG279Q no display input while gaming

Hello,

I bought an asus pg279q to compliment my rig. i7-4930k, msi 1070 oc'd, win 10.

Now the monitor works fine when im not really pushing the computer. The problem is when i start gaming, sometimes its fine but it can happen when randomly my screen will go blank. I use a display port cable btw. Message will say there is no input to the monitor but i can still hear sound from the game and if im on voice comms which will eventually die after a minute or 2.

When i restart my pc it will say that overclocking has failed.

Now im not sure what the issue is and its a new rig. The problem is i gave it to an IT guy who took it in twice and said he had 0 issues with the PC and no crashes. the only difference seems to be the monitor so im just completely confused tbh.

Sounds like a bad display port cable. When I got my pg34q and used my old monitor dp cable I had the same no input message when I would start up a game.

Try another display port cable, and try your monitor on another PC and see if the problem persists.
