I would like to upgrade my old monitor.
what i have now is a samsung syncmaster B2430 1920x1080 60hz.

My question is if my 980 will be able to handle the Asus ROG Swift PG348Q?

If not are there alternative monitors that are also better than everage that i could get?
(sorry for my poor englisch)

Go to nvidia control panel, enable DSR, and check all resoltions scalings. In game set resolution to 3440x1440 and see how it will run at 1440p, this way you will see how it will handle native monitor with 2k resolution if you were to buy it.

For the types of games you play a 980 should be enough but trying the DSR setting for the resolution you are aiming for is still a good idea. If you don't have to have an ultra wide monitor you could also look at the ASUS PQ279Q.
