If I have Windows 7 on one laptop, can I use it's product key to unlock a Windows 10 product?

I'll explain it easily.

Mr Flick owns 2 computers

Computer A has Windows 7 Home Premium

Computer B has a USB attached to it with Windows 10 installation on it

Can Mr Flick use his Windows 7 Home Premium key on Computer A to unlock Windows 10 on Computer B?

How can Mr Flick find his product key?

Sorry for making it sound stupid, I just wanted to make it sound as easy as possible.

Solution

No.
1 license, 1 PC.
You can't use that Win 7 license on both PC's.
And the free Win 10 Upgrade from Win 7 ran out in July.

Mr. Flick has 2 PC's, he needs to individual licenses.

Mr Flick has done some extensive research

As of the Anniversary update of Windows 10, you can use a Windows 7/Windows 8.X product key to activate it.

Mr Flick has also learned that if you do not activate Windows 10, it will only disable personalization settings.

However, Mr Flick has read on other articles and from other people that after 30 days, it refuses to function properly.

Mr Flick does not have a reliable source as of now, but he will test once he gets his PC, (Nov. 20th)

Oh also,

Mr Flick is an idiot and forgot to mention that Computer B has no Operating System.
