Hello,

I've recently been having numerous issues with my laptop. Over the course of the last two months I have been experiencing some form of "Lag" that happens while doing various things on the PC.

A Description of the Lag: Some form of stuttering or slight buzzing that comes from the speakers. and a semi noticeable stutter on screen.

How/when it happens:

It can happen from various things, If the laptop has been closed and in sleep mode and I open it up and plug in my mouse at the same time it plays that windows 10 sound for connecting a device, however that sound can be disturbed and stutter.

It also can occur from watching something on you tube where sound is playing, and then lets say I start up the league of legends client.

Or if I'm browsing in Firefox and audio is being played in the background regardless of which application its coming from.

-Another Side Effect- There has also been the occasional occurrence of where my task bar and desktop icons just flash constantly for a period of time and then eventually just stop.

Both of these things has been noticeably increasing in frequency over the last two months and is becoming worse, almost to the point where the laptop is becoming annoying to use.

However it is not something that always happens, for example If i start up a game of league of legends, during the entire duration of that game, I can play fully without interruption or stutter or anything at all, even if I'm playing music in you tube. It seems as though it's mostly If i just start trying to multitask with various different programs.

Curiously it also seems to happen especially most often if I'm running VLC media player and watching a movie or some downloaded stuff.

---Information---

I frequently do torrent movies and TV, and yes, porn, however, at least 95% of the time I am only ever downloading from trusted up-loaders on the sites I've downloaded from.

I also consistently and frequently do scans using two programs:

Malware bytes Pro Anti malware
Avast Internet Security Suite.

Full in depth system scans from both programs result in no infected files whatsoever.

My Laptop is an Asus G752-VT with a Samsung 256gb 950 Pro Ssd installed.
I've had this laptop for 1 Year, and it has gone through what i would consider frequent daily usage.

---Things I've done to try and solve the problem---

Multiple malware and antivirus scans, defragmented the hard drive and used "iolo system mechanic" to solve any drive or registry errors, removed unnecessary programs and/or startup programs, uninstalled recently downloaded and installed programs, deleted large batches of recently downloaded torrent files, checked for most recent, and updated to all available/most recent driver software.

At this point I believe myself to be stuck with no options so I'm hoping you guys out there in the TH community can help me iron all of this out.

Any assistance with this matter is greatly appreciated and I'm more than happy to work with anyone and try anything, although I really do not wish to re install windows, that is an absolute last resort for me, especially since I don't think I even have a copy of windows 10 and would have to either buy it or ask the manufacturer for it... I guess overall I'm just praying its not a hardware issue...

If you need any other information to help me please ask and I'll try my best to retrieve it.

Uhm, i dont know anything about bios stuff but it is a new laptop thats like 11 months old so i would think it would be fairly new?, also i did have avast for several months before hand without problems(free) and recently purchased avast pro so maybe the additional features are the cause too, ill try fully disabling avast and see what that does

___UPDATE___

unfortunately i wasn't able to actually get avast closed, in the task manager it won't end the task, but, i uninstalled many of its components and disabled its shields and firewall, and the problem still persisted.

I did a test with the task manager open to see cpu usage when initiating the problem, and so, what i did was I had one game open, firefox open with one tab on youtube playing a song, and i was just opening and closing browser tabs and loading webpages and then closing them.

This caused my cpu to spike from 8-10% standard usage(firefox with a youtube song, and one game), to 45-54% usage(at the same time the audio/system stutter/lag happens).

So i hope that helps figure something out if it can.
