My computer can't handle games, plz help

I am a freshman in college so I don't know much, but my computer is a Refurbished HP Windows 10 with 8G RAM, Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz. I'm trying to play League of Legends and it and it runs at 7 fps on the lowest quality settings. I need help, thank you.

  1. Most likely you need a good video card like the 750ti. What is the exact model of HP so I can check its PSU for compatiblity.

Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Video Card ($94.98 @ Newegg)
    Total: $94.98

If your PSU is good enough then the 1050 may be a better choice.

  2. Do you have a graphics card? This is a decade-old PC and while you can do light gaming and sometimes even better on modern integrated GPUs, the integrated graphics in time -- or really, entry-level cards from back then -- will be absolutely dreadful for modern gaming.

  4. Refurbished HP DC5800 SFF Desktop PC with Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Processor, 8GB Memory, 2TB Hard Drive and Windows 10 Home
  5. Ok scratch both. You would need a PSU SFF as that system comes with a 240W. The video card has to be a lowprofile 750ti. The prices on those parts are high so I suggest a new build.

After a bunch of research I found the GT 720 can work on the 240W. This isnt going to make your system a good gaming PC but could get you upto 30fps or more. this one comes with a low profile bracket you need for installation.
