DVD will not play on Windows 10 free upgrade with Videolan download.

Hi, please help.
I took the free upgrade from Windows 8, to Windows 10. I know Microsoft did not include a DVD player, so I downloaded Videolan. Each time I try to play a DVD, a window opens, to tell me it cannot open it. I have read all the forums, and tried a lot of the suggestions, but that window keeps coming up that it cant open it.
Please if you can help, I will be very grateful.

Many people use VLC on their Windows 10 system. Try to uninstall reinstall VLC, see what happens.
