I already have a pc build that I think is decent, but I want to know if there are any parts that would be better or more convenient price-wise. I'd prefer to keep this as much under $1000 as possible. I'd also like for this build to be able to run most games on high and be relatively future-proof. Thanks!

If you want the best possible, I would recommend bumping the 470 up to a 480. Also, I would recommend getting a z170 series mobo, so you can oc in the future without having to switch out the mobo. Hope this helped!

Thanks! That would push the build a bit too far over $1000 though. Especially since I would probably also want to be able to overclock my CPU, which I would be unable to with my current build. I definitely see where you're coming from though because this build would get around 60 fps on games that are a few years old already, so maybe not too future proof. In that case, 1060 vs 480?

I have a 1060 in my rig, and I am loving it. It is slightly faster than the 480 in most cases, except for directx12 and Vulkan. So if you're playing a lot of DOOM or Ashes of the SIngularity, I'd get a 480. The 480 is cheaper for the most part, and in the end, I'd say the difference is whether you like AMD or NVIDA better, as both the cards to ultra 1080p 60fps extremely well.
