ram at low speeds, and when trying to change it DRAM light comes on

I have recently upgraded from 8gb of 1600mhz to 16gb of 2400mhz, and now anytime I change anything in bios (whether thats DRAM speed, anything cpu related to overclocking, or even some fast boot options) when my computer restarts the DRAM light comes on and I have to reset cmos for it to come on again. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm running:
P8Z77-V PRO/THUNDERBOLT
corsair vengeance 16gb ddr3 2400mhz
gtx 750ti
i5-3570k

With the 3570K will prob need a bit of an OC on the CPU to carry 2400 sticks

yeah but the problem for me is that every time i try to change any overclock settings my DRAM light comes on and i have to reset my bios for it to come on again
