What's the most cable to connect a pc to a monitor?

Solution

I believe Displayport is technically superior in terms of max resolution/refresh rate supported. But for the most part, as long as the cable you're using supports the resolution/refresh rate you want, any digital cable (HDMI, DVI-D/I, Displayport) will have the same 'signal quality' and result in the same image. [strike]But if your monitor has built in speakers, you may want HDMI just because it carries audio as well.[/strike] Edit: Displayport supports audio as well.
