Getting a new monitor - Maybe an ultrawide?

Hey there,

I currently own a old Philips 22" 1080p monitor and I'd like to get a new main monitor and maybe use the old one as a secondary (for youtube/skype).

What I have been considering is a 34" ultrawide, but I'm having a hard time deciding between all of them.
I have been looking at the LG 34UM67-P and AOC U3477PQU, but I'm not too sure with all the options available.

What would guys recommend for gaming? One of those two or something different?

My budget is around 700USD.

I don't know if my current pc can run modern games smoothly at 60fps at high/ultra with a 4K monitor, so maybe a 1440p (or even 1080p?) monitor would be a better choice.
What I'm playing most of right now is WoW, D3 and Overwatch, if that helps you.

I wouldn't go any higher than 2560x1440 60hz unless you're planning to upgrade the GPU.

An ultrawide monitor looks great, but some games don't natively support the 21:9 aspect ratio and 2560x1440 on a 34" monitor will likely seem pixelated.
