How would overclocking fare on any of these 4 plans? I'm planning to build my own pc next year. At the moment I am most likely to go with the first plan, as it's slightly cheaper than the others and supports SLI for a future upgrade, it also has a better GPU.

Also are there any any issues with compatibility? I'm not too concerned about the CPU not being compatible with the motherboard.

Any replies appreciated.
Thanks.

The motherboard in the first 2 builds is "ok". The motherboard in the 3rd build is "good", and the motherboard in the 4th build is not very good.

None of those builds are very good. I'm not sure why you are wanting or even considering an AMD FX build at this point in time.

This is better. The i3 is stronger than the entire AMD lineup in gaming. The sound card is a waste of money.

What can I say, I'm on a budget. Amd CPUs are relatively cheaper than intel so o thought I might as well go with them. Amd fx isn't that bad is it?

There is no upside to building with the 4 year old FXs these days. AMD is not better for the money like many people are led to believe. The i3 above is better than all of them.
