Think about it. I believe you can do this. More pixels is a higher resolution. Resolution is written as XxY where X = number of pixels in a row and Y = number of pixels in a column.

Get really close to your monitor while its on and look at it, use a magnifying glass if you have to. See the little dots? with a higher resolution you have more of those dots or pixels thus making the picture look more clear and detailed I guess its hard to appreciate without seeing it yourself. As turkey said the numbers horizontal and vertical pixels, with a 1360x786 monitor you have 1360 pixels in a row horizontally and 768 pixels in a row vertically. 1360x768 gets you the total amount of pixels on the screen.

Just wondering , on CRT monitors dose it have half of pixels , cause I belive crt draws evry other pixel in evry other hz so the other have a time to cool of ?

That's called interlaced video. I don't believe that CRT monitors necessarily use interlacing, but even if they did, they'd still have the same number of pixels. The difference is they'd only draw half of them every refresh cycle.
