If you're planning to build in a microATX case the ASRock Z170M Extreme4 is a decent choice. Could look for other ATX-size motherboards if you're building in a mid tower ATX though.

If i get these upgrades will they be better than my cpu and motherboard now?:

AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor, 3200 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
Asus m4a79xtd

Im also looking for a motherboard that can SLI and is about the same size as my motherboard that I have now, if not smaller.

Ofcourse It's going to be better. Not just by a bit, It's going to better by a large margin.

That motherboard is ATX, whilst the Z170M Extreme4 you had listed above is smaller (microATX).

For ATX size, take a look at this motherboard which is quite a beast:

Motherboard: MSI Z170A GAMING PRO CARBON ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($132.88 @ OutletPC)
