Computer Randomly Freezes and Crashes On Chrome

Ok so I have been having the problem for a LONG time where while using Google Chrome, out of nowhere, about every 5-40 minutes all the windows I have open will freeze, and my cursor shows the loading symbol. I can still move my mouse but everything stops working, videos freeze, etc. Usually when this happens my Disk spikes to 100% also. This only happens with chrome. So I tried everything, like disabling a some of Chrome's options, and that worked for a little bit.

But now, everytime I'm using Chrome, my computer will completely freeze, I can't move my mouse this time, it's just completely frozen, it will stay like that for about a minute or two, then crash. Again, this ONLY happens when I am browsing the internet/youtube while using chrome, it never happens when my computer is under stress. I played GTA V for like 6 hours straight and had no problems, but chrome for 20 minutes causes all sorts of things.

Now heres where it gets weirder... I took out my 750W EVGA Powersupply, and put in my old Corsair CX500W power supply, and the crashes almost completely stopped. I only had 1 crash in the span of about 2 weeks. I ordered a brand new EVGA 750W power supply and when I put that new one in, suddenly the crashes and freezing up of chrome are back. (Sometimes it just freezes then unfreezes, other times it freezes then crashes.)

Also, the solution isn't just using my old 500W power supply, because it's failing and can't support my system.

So, A.Why is Chrome causing my PC to freeze and/or crash? And B.What connection is there between a Power supply and Chrome?

//Update: One thing I forgot to include is that recently (the past like month) my computer has been automatically going to sleep/hibernating (not really sure which one), after I leave for a few minutes. This is just weird because it started about the same time I replaced my PSU, but I didnt change any power plan options and I deleted the hibernation file a long time ago.

Ever hear the old joke...

Patient - "Hey Dic, it hurts when I do this; how do I make the pain go away"
Doc "Don't do that"

It's a "condition" I hear about quite often. Doing a yahoo search on "Chrome Freeze" and you will generate o a lot of potential reading material. My solution ... here in then office we dumped Chrome as well as "all things Google" including the search function in browsers. The only permitted google app is google earth. Alternately try some of the troubleshooting guides:
