Hey, I'm looking to build a new pc as my current one old and dying, and being on a budget i'm looking at the AMD 8370, I5-6500, or the I3-6100, up from my I5-3570K. The 3570K with my GTX 680 OC and 16 gb ram, was a great set up, all I used it for was intensive gaming, movies and internet. so I'm looking for something similar, maybe more modern though. I've upgraded to a GTX 970 and currently run everything on ultra settings (fallout 4, swtor, skyrim SE, & TW shogun 2) with no issues. I read that the intel skylake was the best cpu for gaming, so I'm kind of leaning towards the 6xxx series, mainly the 6100, as I don"t do any video editing or photo stuff, just gaming and movies, so I don't need the high end performance chipsets, and the 6100 with its 2 cores but 4 virtual core should be enough right, at least for the time being.

As you are saying you dont overclock i would recommend you i5 6600. Rather than some K overclocking CPU. Also for that CPU will fit B150 series Motherboard.
You can pick any of them and be fine. here is just example.
Or if you want to save up some more you can even go with i5 6500. It is small difference between them.
