Liquid vs air cooling

This is a debate on what to cool my cpu with, this pc is used for moderate gaming mostly, setup is as follows.
Current board/cpu combo: Gigabyte 970a-ud3p/AMD FX-8320e
Price range: up to $75

I'm guessing you're considering AIO kits. Generally, larger air coolers are equal or better in temps and noise than small/medium AIO coolers. What are your goals? OCing?

Ok say the price range was theory, give me your suggestions. It can be closed or open loop liquid cooling, it just has to be a kit if open loop.

The cpu is OC, the pump on my liquid cooler isn't working anymore

My personal recommendation for a liquid is the Cryorig A80. Anything beyond that would be a custom open loop.
Anything below that, one of the better air coolers. Noctua or Cryorig.

I found an excellent review of a relatively unknown cooler, the $35 scythe kotetsu

I argue that anything under $150, go good air. For $150, go Swiftech H220/240 or an entry level loop.

I would never recommend an AIO.

The problem is I'd have to buy a new case for the air cooler and I don't know of a decent case for under $50 that it would fit in
