I have installed windows 10, and after booting the pc and logging into windows, I get a message saying it "failed to find display driver" but before I can do any updates, the screen blacks out and I need to restart the pc.

I understand when installing display drivers the screen will flicker and go black. But when it does flicker and go black it never comes back up unless I restart the pc.

Have you tried booting into safe mode? I would try to boot into safe mode and install a graphics driver (if you can).

Here's several ways to get into safe mode, maybe one of them work for you...

Note that the info on that page (if correct), says you can use a Shift+Restart combination from the Sign-In screen
to get into safe mode.

If you're not able to get into safe mode, you might want to insert your Win 10 setup disc and try to repair the
PC with it.
