What ram to get?

Im looking to upgrade my ram and need to know what kind of speeds etc would be best for what i need. I use my pc mainly for music producing which of course relies a lot on ram and cpu.

I have a i7 4790k and a Asus Maximus VII Ranger mobo, im gonna get 16gb but should i get 2400mhz? 2800mhz? any suggestions?

Stick to 2400MHz at most, and aim for a low CAS timing, try and get 9 if possible and 11 is preferable, 13 is acceptable.
