My rig isn't a beast, How can I optimize windows 10 for games?

What are the services and tasks in windows 10 that aren't crucial that I can close during the game and restart the PC when I'm done?
I'm going to make a clean installation, what do I make sure of doing?

You shouldn't have to close tasks if there aren't any third party applications open like Spotify, Skype, Google Chrome etc.

If you're doing a clean install make sure to back-up any important DATA and wipe/format your drives before installation.
