New monitor not working

I bought a seller refurbished Double Sight monitor. I plugged the power in and I know that's working because the monitors LED lights up. However, it won't work with the HDMI cable that I was using for my last monitor or with the DVI-D that came with it. I use the select button on it to switch from the default input (VGA) to HDMI and DVI but it seems to stay on VGA.
My previous monitor was an Acer.
My GPU is an ASUS R9 290X.

can you try that monitor on another computer even a friend's for testing purposes to see if does same thing or not.

It's a problem specific to DoubleSight Displays. To select your input you have to use the VOL+ button, not the SELECT button.
