I have been troubleshooting this for a couple days now and havent made much progress. This is a new build and I am getting a Machine Check Exception after I install windows 7 ultimate 64bit on my first boot after install. I can run any 4 sticks of ram on the left side but if I put the rest or anymore in I get this fault. I tried switching between XMP and default but no luck. I was getting assistance in the systems forum but he sent me here. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

First thought is Memory controller/Channels. Did all 8 sticks come in a single package? Make sure you have the latest BIOS. Try loosening the CPU cooler then snug down screw tight. Many overtight which can put the CPU out of level if a corner or side is over tightened. Also might check the CPU socket for bent/broken pins

I have the latest bios installed and no the ram was 2 sets of 4..same product ordered together. I just double checked the cpu again and I do not see any bent pins and it seems to be all of the screws are just snug and I believe they are even.
