my laptop automatically displaying project option without pressing any key .

In my laptop project option is showing automatically and it start operating itself it move to different options like duplicate,extend,,second screen only. and my screen is getting dark and if i press project button then screen is showing.

what make/model laptop is it? might help narrow down the solution. have you ever attached it to another screen? or projector? perhaps it has a driver for one still installed. Do you have two monitors attached? Perhaps one of the connections is faulty (intermittent) and is triggering the display of the project screen.

I didn't even know it existed, it appears if you hit Win key + P
