sound not working win 10

i crashed while playing a game (thread stuck in drivers) and when my pc auto restarted there was a black screen, i waited for about mins then hard restarted my pc and now theres no sound this has happened many times and sometimes it would just fix itself after a few days but i dont want to wait please help. windows 10

right click the speaker icon -> playback devices -> right click speaker and click set as default device
