Custom Windows 10 PC not connecting to wireless network

Hey guys,

I built a custom gaming PC with windows 10 quite a while ago. I hooked it up to cat5e ethernet in my house and it was all smooth sailing. However, now that I have moved to a different location that has only wireless internet, I cannot connect. I have Killer ethernet installed, but that is for ethernet. No networks are found and my ipconfig in cmd is empty. Is my motherboard (MSI 990fxa gaming) compatible for wifi or only ethernet? Should I invest in a wifi card or usb adapter? Thanks, I would appreciate any help.

wifi card is way to go, unless you just want to browse internet (no gaming) then usb adapter is a ok.

your motherboard doesnt have built in wifi

and i prefer usb wifi adapters

if you cant get a decent signal you can put them on a usb cable and move them about to improve the signal

if your into gaming look at the newer 2.4 and 5g sticks. if your close to the router 5g will move more data faster then the older 2.4g sticks.
