HDMI TV to VGA Laptop troubles

Hey! Trying to connect a VGA Laptop to a HDMI only TV and I'm having trouble. I just bought a standard one end VGA one end HDMI cable and well that didn't work, just had ''No Signal'' so I presume I need something else to get it working

Any advice on what I need to order to get it working? The TV is LED if that means anything.
