Hello guys, I'm looking to build a car audio system for my next vehicle, and it would be awesome if you guys could give me any input on what speakers I should get. My budget is around 400 dollars, and I was thinking front and back door speakers 2 tweeters, 2 10"s or 1 12" sub, with an amp. Is it possible to hook up the door speakers into the amp to make it sound better? If so I would need an amp to power those as well. Thanks in advance.

Solution
i would drop the rear speakers (for now).
you want sound coming from the front, like in a concert or sitting at home in front of a system.

check what fits your front doors (6-8in) and the dashboard (tweeter), and run them of the radio amp (maybe with a capacitor to cut of low freq (below 100-150Hz) if the speakers dont come with crossover).
or get a decent headunit that has built in crossover (min 18dB/oct, better 24), 2V better 4V rca out, and separate sub-out.

in case you dont have on yet:

get the headunit on front speakers, later u can upgrade to a sub+amp..

i would also say, invest a bit in a capacitor to buffer the sub-amp. 20-50$ range will do.
and unless you just got a new battery, look into optima (red) or agm batteries.
worth the money.
