I just reset my pc because it was running slow so I put some important files on a USB and then reset it. But when I woke up (it was resetting over night) a blue screen with ntoskrnl.exe is missing. I've tried pressing F8 and troubleshooting but any button I press in that menu takes me back to the error screen, and nothing changes. I don't have the windows cd and I have tried multiple keyboards that I know work, but nothing helps. Not even the autorepair wanted to work and it jus took me to that screen

So is there anything I can do besides paying for it to be repaired?

ntoskrnl = heart/brains of win 10, its not going to work without it.

Do you have everything off hdd you want to save? You can use this to rescue anything else: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/use-ubuntu-live-cd-to-backup-files-from-your-dead-windows-computer/

I suggest easiest answer is a fresh install of win 10. On another PC, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB

Make sure everything off HDD C is on as fresh install requires deleting all partitions on drive.
change boot order so USB first, hdd second
boot off installer and follow this helpful guide: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-windows-10-clean-install.html
