Hi,
I'm thinking of buying one PCIe NVMe hard drive (Samsung 960 EVO 512Gb) to use as my boot drive but after reading all the forum posts and googling i'm confused alot.
My current system is:
i5-3570k
16Gb Ram Gskill
MSI Z77A-GD65 mobo.
MSI 1070 F.E.

So, the real questions:
1st : Will my motherboard suport it?
2nd : Does it take some of the pcie lanes from the grafic card?

Thank you.

1. No. NVME is not supported as a boot drive on that motherboard. To my knowledge there are no socket 1155 boards that do.
2. This would depend on the motherboard. On your board for instance if you installed it in the very bottom pci-e slot it would not share bandwidth with the gpu in slot 1, but the middle slot would share bandwidth.
