Iv recently been questioning upgrading my monitor to 1440p 144hz. I want to play games like battlefield 1, but i want to make sure my PC is up to the task of getting the most out of a high resolution and 144hz.

This is my PC. It's fairly beefy but i want to be sure i can get the most out of a good monitor while still being able to play on ultra settings. Im a total noob when it comes to monitors.

Any suggestions or advice is highly appreciated :)

The 1080 may not be able to quite hit the 144Hz realm at 1440p ultra as it averages about 110fps in most benchmarks I have read. But drop a few settings a little bit and you will be able to hit that mark easily. Plus at 1440p there's less need for things such as AA due to the higher DPI of your screen

you should be able to mostly maintain ~100 fps

there will be drops sometimes, overclocking the cpu a bit would help

just the nature of multi player
