How to connect dual monitors

I am currently using a LG 27MP36HQ-B 27" IPS Monitor as my main. And i just bought another monitor a Acer K2 K242HL 24 but it only uses VGA and DVI . I tried pluggin the VGA to the back of my computer but it hasn't seem to be working. I have no clue what is going on. Please help thanks. My current graphic card is a GTX 950

This adapter has DVI and HDMI outputs. Connect your main monitor with an HDMI cable to your card. Connect your second monitor with a DVI cable. Right click on your desktop, and go to NVIDIA control center. Once there, run setup multiple monitors. Choose the main monitor as primary and the second one as secondary. Apply and save.

GPU of course. Integrated GPU most likely is disabled, when discrete GPU is present in the system.
