How to disable monitor sound AOC G2460PF?

I have a AOC G2460PF monitor and I can't figure out how to disable the build in speakers in the monitor. By the love of God please help me it's driving me nuts!

Not sure I understand. If you change the default device under Playback Devices to something other than your display, there should not be an audio signal going to your monitor at all.

Otherwise, just use the volume control to reduce it to zero. Glancing through the user manual, there doesn't appear to be a way to disable the speakers.

Agreed, you're obviously sending it an audio signal.

It was somehow connected to my volume on my headset so that when I turned up the volume the build in speaker in the monitor turned up as well. I found a newer update for my monitor and it stopped playing sounds as soon as my headset got plugged in
