I cannot get the Intel HD Graphics 4000 in the HP EliteBook 8470p notebook to work with the Dell 3014t monitor at a full resolution and refresh rate. I installed the latest HP drivers and the Dell Display Manager, all to no avail.

With a DisplayPort-to-HDMI cable, Windows 7 recognizes the monitor as a Dell Digital Television (?) and the max. resolution is only 1920x1200 @60 Hz.

With a DisplayPort-to-DisplayPort cable, Windows 7 does not recognize the monitor at all, regardless of whether DisplayPort v1.1 or v1.2 is selected on the monitor.

I would like to get the native 2560x1600 resolution @60 Hz via either type of connection. The monitor *does* support that very resolution and refresh rate when connected to an nVidia GTX680 video card in a different PC, so this must be an issue with either the Intel HD Graphics 4000 or HP drivers or limitation of that notebook.

For reference, the notebook does support 2560x1440 @60 Hz when connected via a DP-to-DP cable to a different Dell U2515H monitor. But, this is 1440 not 1600 pixels vertically.

Can anyone help?
