Hello, all!

I just recently built a brand spanking new gaming PC, you can see it here: http://imgur.com/gallery/ADNni

Anyway, I have that PC hooked up to a 1080p monitor with an HDMI cable which works fine. I am running another HDMI cable from my computer to my TV. My TV is mounted on my wall, overlooking my bed. I want to use the TV for gaming with the Steam Controller while lounging on my bed. I am also planning on running this cable through a surround sound receiver in the near future. What is the best way for me to do this? I would rather just have one monitor on at a time to stop any weird glitches and to reduce stress while gaming at my desk.

Here is a shot from my desk to my TV for reference http://imgur.com/AytzJbY

Thank you!

You could disable it if you aren't using it. Or like I said, if you mirror it to the TV it treats them both as the same monitor and what happens on one happens on the other.

Mirror the desktop to the TV. Both the monitor and the TV will show the same thing.

Not sure what you are talking about here. I have three monitors and my TV hooked up to my PC. There are no glitches that I've noticed.

Thank you! I had to fiddle around with my TV settings to get the resolution to match.

I just don't want any programs disappearing onto my TV. What is the best way to not send signal to it while it is not in use?
