I am looking to pickup a triple monitor setup. I have a GTX 980 and I am looking to pickup a solid 1440p main monitor for playing games like CSGO, Battlefield 1 and Overwatch. I also need 2 side monitor for viewing things like youtube and discord. I was also looking into picking up a monitor stand to keep the stands off the table. I would like to keep this whole setup under 600$. Any help is appreciated.

didn't he ask for a monitor setup?

......and fire, ready, aim

It is a personal preference thing.
When you drag one window from monitor to another monitor it is going to have to re-scale and you wont have a seamless view as some windows and text will be bigger on the 1080p monitors vs the 1440p.
For some of us with low-grade OCD just having monitors of different size and bezel would bug the crap out of us as well.

For the stand do you want one with a big weighted base, or would you like a clamp/screw mount one that has a pole that attaches to your desk (the clamp one requires it to be on the edge of the desk, and the screw one requires you to drill a hole into your desk)?

Well first off monitors will most likely be different sizes and wont look the same and for the resolution your mouse will kind of jump off when moving in between screens and appear at different location but i suppose if you can deal with these issues you can do it.

well i can see how you read it as looking for a $600 build for a 3 monitor setup hah.

to answer OP, i really, really think you should consider not doing this. if you have different panels, they're most likely going to have a different picture to them and it's just going to look disappointing.
