Using new 50" HDR 4K TV as Display from Dell Laptop (both new)

So I have added a 50" HDR 4K TV as my second monitor, extended the screen and I notice the mouse cursor and reaction time is noticeably slow. Is there anything that can be done to make it smooth, fast when it transitions between screens?

Sure, set the external display to 1080
Otherwise keep in mind that your mouse travels x amount of pixels per inch and that your 4k tv has 4 times as many pixels so you will have to do 4 times as much scrolling.

It's already set to 1080p, it's a HDR 4k TV. What do you mean otherwise?

Is it a wireless mouse and keyboard? That would most likely cause slow reaction time and poptim is correct, the more screen real estate you have the more you have to travel.
