Chrome on Vista will not allow forum posts on Tom's Hardware -> Forum

If I try to post on the forum using Chrome Version 49.0.2623.112 m i get this sort of screen which doen not allow me to enter any test for the main post. Its as if the text window is sized too small. There is some kind of grab on the text window, but i cannot resize it.:

The same thing in Firefox 47.0.2 (God forbid!) works better:

I'm stuck on Vista (its complicated), so no Chrome updates available for me atm.

Can anybody offer assistance/fix/workaround?

Unfortunately, we can't really provide much support for outdated browsers and discontinued operating systems. We'll take a look at this, but since we haven't been able to reproduce it on any current browsers/OS so far, we might not be able to come up with much.
