Hi,

I'm trying to connect a 2nd monitor to the GTX 770. My primary monitor is connected via HDMI.
if i connect my secondary monitor with a VGA cable then it only displays (1920x1080)

I want both my monitors to be at 2560x1440 (looking to extend the displays).

What is the best option to go with?
-should i get a "Display port to HDMI cable"?
~or~
-should i get a "DVI-D to HDMI" cable?

The GTX 770 specs:
- 1x Display Port Connector
- 1x HDMI Connector
- 1x DVI -I Connector
- 1x DVI-D Connector

Solution

I'd do displayport to hdmi then.

Make sure you specifically check that the adapter supports 1440p. Some of the cheaper ones only go up to 1080p.
