More Memory than it should?

So i have and old Wolfdale1333-D667 and i have already 4GB of DDR2 RAM (which is the limit) and i'm thinking of buying an geforce 9800 gtx, but i don't know if the memory that the card has will jam the pc because is more that the motherboard supports? Or i doesn't matter

GPU memory has nothing to do with system memory so it doesn't matter at all.
