Hello. I'm looking for a monitor that fits these specs:

- 1440p
- 75+ hz
- 4 (or lower) ms response time
- IPS panel
- 27 inch
- Very thing bezels, looking to buy another in the near future

I've looked around and many are either TN panels, or they break the bank. Looking to spend around $300 and will not go over $400. I will be doing gaming and movie editing on this. Thanks so much in advance!

my one thing would be the 75+ hz. Drop to 60hz and it opens you up to the:
pb 278q (my friend has an loves)

or a benq (i dont see to ever hear anything bad about them , but i might not be looking hard enough)

imo... id rather a higher quality TN than a lower quality IPS (not that those 2 above are low quality)

BUT personally... i bought the pb258q. its a 25" ips 1440p 60hz monitor and i love it. bought a second one too off ebay.
i think in your price range your choices with IPS are refresh rate or resolution. for me, it was pretty easy. world of warcraft looks amazing in 1440p and i dont need anything past 60hz...

at your price point youre going to have to make compromises. i think you might be better off with a higher quality TN panel at this point.

this could be your closest and its still over 400. but its 144hz freesync i believe

or if you dont mind giving up those thin bezels, and dont mind using one of the korean (i believe) brands, then this one would be perfect i think

Alright, thanks! If there was one thing I should sacrifice to make it cheaper, what do you think that should be? I found one that fits all of these specs but is a TN panel. Would it be worth the money to go with a TN panel or should I stick with IPS and look for cheaper options without other specs?

best bet would be to go to bestbuy or if you have a microcenter nearby and take a look at some of the monitors. ive read reviews that are saying high quality TN's are almost if not better than some IPS monitors. so if you see only like IPS, then you'll choose 1080p (or ultrawide 1080) with 144hz or 1440p with 60 hz. if you see that the better TN's look great to you, then you can get the size/resolution/refresh rate that you want!

if you do decide TN isnt all that bad, you have this option . 27" , TN, 1440p, 75hz, not a very large bezel (but not invisible), 1ms response

I have the Asus PB278Q and its an amazing monitor, I would highly recommend that in the price range. There's really no point in 75hz, if youre gonna go up past 60, you might as well get a 144hz with Gsync or Freesync depending on GPU.

For me, image quality and resolution was the deciding factor when I bought mine. Also it highly depends on what games you are playing most often. If you are a hardcore FPS gamer than you may sacrifice IPS for a TN panel and go faster refresh. I just can't do TN personally, the ASUS PB278Q @1440 looks way too good. I would only consider an upgrade if I were to go with something like an Asus ROG monitor that does what this monitor does +144hz and Gsync, but you're looking at double the cost.
