2 female to 1 male audio adapter problems.

I have a gaming sades headset with two male 3.5mm prongs and only 1 3.5mm jack on my laptop. Naturally i went and got myself a 2f to 1m converter.

My 2 female to 1 male adapter for my headset won't pick up my microphone. Windows 10 audio manager pops up and ask what kind of device is in the 3.5 mm jack. I selected headset(with microphone) and something's preventing my mic from picking up audio.

You can not use that adapter. You have to plug in both of the plugs from your headset into your computer.
