Image files wont preview the image

Since I work with pictures a lot for a hobby, I would like an easy way to preview the image before I have to click on it instead of constantly clicking every file to find the picture I want, just like on other computers. But it shows only shows the default white and blue picture "symbol" for lack of a better term. I have tried a few things but none seem to work. I am using Windows 10 of course.
Id appreciate any help, thanks!

In Windows Explorer, go to the View Menu > Options >Change folder and search options>View Tab, and deselect "Always show icons, never thumbnails"
