Not including OS, it'll outclass your build in gaming performance no matter the titles. You may think that you're getting less with a 550W PSU, but when an i7(Skylake)+GTX1080 build will only consume ~400W in the absolute worst scenario, you're looking at 550W for single CPU+GPU, 750W+ for SLI/CF scenario (650W used to be nice for the SLI of GTX960 but since GTX1060 can't SLI, it's not a very good proposition anymore).

agreed. i don't think i put enough effort into that! two nice builds there.. i like the case from the 2nd build just wish it was a brighter colour! my budget is around £800 (cash)to buy from varied sites or around £950 to buy from either scan.co.uk or overclockers.co.uk (finance) and now i'm not sure whether to go for skylake or kaby lake.

Good overclocking builds there by FD2Raptor. Personal preference would have me recommending ASUS or Gigabyte boards, but there is nothing wrong with ASRock.

And now for a non-overclocking, single-GPU option.... Allows you to get into a GTX 1060 6GB and also include an SSD for the same price.

all kinds of reviews ! and that's why i said differing because some are saying 1060 6gb some are saying 8gb 480s. some saying it depends on the game. will take a look at those links :)
